Microsoft ditches the start menu in Windows 8



Here is an article explaining why Microsoft decided to change it


I personally haven't tried any of the windows 8 dev builds, has anyone else had experience with this?

    Nope yet, but I expect 8 will be optimized, with every new windows you need a more powerful computer to do the same as before, and this wouldn'tto be like that

    I haven't tried it. But it looks pretty good. I think they want to make it as easy as possible to use, so even the dumbest people can operate (and buy) em.

    I'm on the fence with Windows 8, I believe windows 7 will be the new xp. Haven't tried windows 8 though.
